Perspectives on Jazz Culture ~ paints a picture of the indigenous legacy that the jazz art form has in its rich history. Islam had great influence on artists and art form during 1960's thru 1970's . Many jazz artists accepted Islam. at that time. We listen to our Muslim brother, jazz historian, Jamal Muhammad as he articulates the roots of jazz and the elegance and discipline that eminated from it. Our story begins in his quiant abode as he prepares for a day at the station.
