Film Description

Since September 11,2001, there has been a lot of talk about charting a stratey of public diplomacy to bridge the gap between the Muslim world and America, but with little succes. Through my story, I hope to dispel stereotype. And I hope to share with you deeper thought. When we improve the lives of others through education and economic opportunities, and not bombs, there is a possibility for undeerstanding and peaceful coxistense. I realized, my grandchildren have made my dream come true as ambassadors for Islam in America. We need to open the doors of understanding to each other - between the religions and groups within the religion. It is this way that we will be able to dispel stereotypes on both sides of the divide and live together with respect. I am a living testimony to public diplomacy in action, and it should be practiced from childhood.
