Film DescriptionHere is a story of a model Muslim who goes about with his life; never missing an opportunity to do a kind deed towards his fellow people. Then something happens that changes everything. The car hitting the Muslim represents a calamity that hits the community. The frame shatters, symbolizing what the calamity has done to the image of the Muslims. Here we can begin to plug in real life events. Imagine what 9/11 did to the world, what it has done to the Muslim community. People began to live in fear just because of a common faith that was shared. Women were afraid to wear a scarf and men were afraid to keep a beard. We can imagine the car being 9/11, striking, without warning, the innocent young man. The frame shatters just as the perception and public image of the Muslims shattered. But as always, there is light at the end of the tunnel. We see the poor man remembering what this Muslim did. As he is remembering, the frame begins to piece back together. This represents the fact that people will realize and remember the sincere acts of kindness that Muslims perform as a part of their faith. It will become known that YES! Muslims are people too. People who care, and feel, and are as much as part of the world as any other individual. Even if the Muslim image has been ruined and shattered by 9/11, there is hope to come back up and represent the true meaning of what it means to be a Muslim and represent Islam. Sooner or later, people will realize that Muslims are a people innocent of the stereotypes that have been assigned. The image will come back piecing together - each piece representing a part of the Islamic faith. Please keep in mind that every element in this video represents something.
