Three weeks in the lives of Algerian independent journalists. This documentary provides a refreshing and compelling vision of Algerian society, in sharp contrast to the one usually presented in the media. We get a very personal and visceral perspective of Algerian life including the arrival of Louisa, a photojournalist, at a massacre scene to a simple vignette at an Algerian school. We begin to understand that she pays a tremendous personal price for her career – a very different perspective of the journalist’s role than the popular negative view of the press in recent years. Directed and produced by Patrice Barrat.
