Filmmaker Ali Essafi follows several journalists for the Middle Eastern satellite news station Aljazeera as they cover the tense build-up to the Anglo-American invasion of Iraq. The film chronicles the experiences of these journalists at a time when the entire world had its eyes firmly fixed on the Middle East. The film suggests that through their reporting, these journalists strive to fulfill the aspirations of millions who hope for progress, freedom and modernity in the Arab world.
