Link TV is proud to present a marathon of the controversial hit Israeli comedy series, Arab Labor (Avoda Aravit)! This hilarious, groundbreaking show follows the Palestinian journalist Amjad and his family as they carve out a place as minorities in Israeli society. Hosts Wendy Hanamura of Link TV and Peter L. Stein, Executive Director of San Francisco's Jewish Film Festival, guide you through the episodes, offering fresh cultural perspectives and their own take on the humor.  Don't miss what the San Francisco Chronicle has dubbed the "Palestinian Seinfeld"!

The Arab Labor Marathon continues with Episodes 4, 5 and 6. In Episode 4, "Kidnapping", Amjad and his photographer co-worker Meir are working on an article about the Arab Miss Israel.  Meir, who remains in the village to take the beauty queen’s pictures, is kidnapped by the taxi driver and his cronies. Amjad and his father set out on a rescue mission to free Meir from his kidnappers.

In Episode 5, "Passover", Meir meets with Amal, an attorney and friend of Bushra (Amjad's wife).  He invites her to the Passover Seder.  Amjad and his family are also invited to the Seder, at the home of a reform family whose son goes to kindergarten with Maya.  Amjad is enthusiastic about the Seder ceremony and decides to incorporate the concept into Eid al-Adha (Festival of Sacrifice).

In Episode 6, "Reserve Duty", Amjad is called into the police and asked to help supply information to the Israeli security forces. He gets very scared and tries to find a way out.  His mother-in-law, who just moved in with them while her apartment is being remodeled and, as always, manages to annoy Amjad, will be his way of giving the GSS what it wants.
