"Our Arctic Challenge" is a documentary which will open everyone's eyes to the realities of climate change. The fragile Arctic environment is testimony to the biggest and fastest signs of climate change.
Most of us like to think we do our part to help the environment. We buy the right light bulbs, we recycle... and this, we hope, will be enough to halt global warming. But the truth is, we all know that the right light bulbs alone will not be enough. Climate change is happening at an alarming rate and its repercussions are physical, economic and political. It’s becoming a question of our very survival on this planet.
But how do you communicate the true urgency of global warming to the average person? That’s the question four scientists in Copenhagen, Denmark had to answer. Their solution was radical: enter a 250 kilometer race across the Arctic and document it, as the fragile Arctic environment is testimony to the biggest and fastest signs of climate change. They called their story “Our Arctic Challenge” because it not only challenged their bodies, but it also challenged their attitudes towards climate change.
