Journalist Amy Goodman, one of the Bush Administration and Iraq war’s fiercest critics— joins host Mark Hertsgaard in the studio to discuss the failures, and perhaps the triumphs, of the media coverage of the Iraq War.
PART 2 (Second Two Hours)
Audrey Brohy and Gerard Ungerman discuss their film, The Oil Factor, with host Peter Coyote. With exclusive footage shot on location in Iraq, Pakistan and Afghanistan, the film documents the spiraling violence now engulfing both Iraq and Afghanistan, a country conspicuously absent from the commercial media's news segments. The filmmakers question the motives for the U.S. wars in the Middle East and Central Asia where 3/4 of the world's oil and natural gas is located.
