This episode of In Focus profiles the efforts of the European Space Agency to create a new research module, the Columbus Space Laboratory, for the International Space Station.
Years of effort have finally come to fruition as work on the module is completed and plans are made for it to be flown to its final destination in the payload bay of the Space Shuttle Atlantis.
Update: The launch of the Columbus module has been delayed until early 2008.
