This film follows the development of hurricanes and the global implication of their rise in frequency.
In the shadow of hurricane Katrina, a team of German and British
scientists are developing tools to detect early warning signs of storms
by studying what triggers them. Nothing has struck Europe this summer
with the force of Hurricane Katrina, but there have been a number of
ferocious storms causing extensive flooding and structural damage.
The scientists have embarked on a major project to explore and explain
the phenomena using satellite imaging and photography to illustrate the
link between global warming and extreme weather.
