In this film we accompany a geologist as he travels to the area around Semey in Eastern Kazakhstan—the primary area of the Soviet Union's nuclear testing program. The Soviets intentionally subjected hundreds of thousands of soldiers and civilians to massive radiation—using them as guinea pigs. We see the extensive human wreckage created by 50 years of nuclear arms testing.
