It is five in the morning and fifteen young people from Hamburg stand amidst two thousand Chinese pupils. The Germans are drowsy and grumpy; at this early hour they are certainly not in the mood for reveille and exercise. Once a year pupils from Hamburg, Germany undertake a class trip to Shanghai. They learn Chinese at school in Germany so the trip gives them the opportunity to find out how well they are progressing. In return, the Chinese students visit them in Hamburg. This report is an entertaining, politically-incorrect look at China through the eyes of fifteen-year olds.
