On one side in Jerusalem, Eyal Sher, a former Israeli soldier. On the other side, exiled in Paris, is the Palestinian Jawad Abed Rabbo. For many years, Palestinians and Israelis who spoke to each other in secret ended up murdered. Eyal and Jawad, who speak only for themselves, agreed to exchange views while knowing nothing in advance about each other. Over days and nights they sought to take the exchange as far as it would go, at times almost coming to the point of conflict, and at other times reaching agreement -- an accord that remarkably mirrored the subsequent Paris Peace Accords in many respects.
