In Focus: The Baby Saver - Emergency Care for Preemies
Premature babies such as Elias or the twins Dana and Edda are only minutes old but are already in urgent need of medical attention. Sometimes normal newborns like Harkan and Reyes suddenly become emergency cases when they develop breathing difficulties or a high fever. They are all patients of Dr. Jens Siegel. Every day the emergency physician from Hanover is out and about with a specially equipped ambulance. From the emergency call to the ride in the ambulance, the arrival in the clinic and initial treatment: it is always a race against time.
