The aftermath of one financial crisis is the prelude to the next. It's only a matter of time before the next bubble bursts. Germany's bad banks are still sitting on hundreds of billions of euros' worth of high-risk contracts - deals brokered by reckless bankers and irresponsible speculators. They could end up costing each German taxpayer thousands of euros. In the meantime, the very same banks that took the biggest gambles are once again playing coy with the current level of risk. So it is back to business as usual? It would seem so. Two years after the fact, the global financial crisis has neither been satisfactorily explained nor has proper action been taken in Germany.
