Separation from one’s home country and culture, xenophobia and civil courage are some of the topics addressed in media productions nominated for the 2010 CIVIS Media Prize for Integration and Cultural Diversity. More than 600 entries were submitted from all over Europe; prizes will be awarded in several categories. The growing number of entries is a sign that the problems surrounding migration and integration in Europe are still far from solved. At the same time, the growing number of positive initiatives is a sign of hope.
