Greece, a member of the European Union, is facing bankruptcy. The wage cuts and the current government's strict austerity measures have been answered by strikes and demonstrations. Average grocery prices here are approaching German levels. The state is broke. Evading taxes has long been a national pastime, but new laws aim to change that.
