Cryo-conservation is the name of the great promise being espoused by scientists and pseudo-scientists. To put it simply, it involves the freezing and storing of human cells in liquid nitrogen. If it is already possible to freeze heart valves - to preserve them until they can be transplanted - could it be possible to freeze entire hearts, livers and kidneys for transplants in the near future? And what should we make of institutes that freeze entire bodies in ice for their distant day of resurrection?
