"I'm a vulture! A scavenger!" says 13-year-old Josephine. She works hard, like hundreds of other children, on one of the largest rubbish dumps in Manila, the capital of the Philippines. In this stinking garbage she looks for reusable parts she can sell to the recycling traders. It's a dangerous job but her family need the money. Josephine's dream is to become a teacher and get her family away from here. That was in 1998. It's ten years later and the filmmakers have returned: what has become of Josephine? It's the start of a moving detective story.
