Mamadou came to Germany from Senegal twenty years ago without school qualifications or job training. He worked his way up to become a skilled worker. He still suffers from homesickness. He misses his large family in the small town of Waoundé on the edge of the Sahara. Together with eighty Senegalese citizens from Waoundé, who all work as labourers in Munich, Mamadou is now working to create a job training center in his home country. Savings, donations and the German government's development aid will be used to fund the project. The first trainees have already competed their final exams and are now qualified fitters, joiners and electricians.
