Now that Muammar Gaddafi has been ousted as Libya’s leader, the people are throwing open the gates to the prisons, to kilometers of bunker facilities and the Gaddafi clan’s summer residences. They are discovering scenes of a vicious and systematic abuse of power alongside a seemingly insatiable taste for luxury. While perhaps tens of thousands of political prisoners were tortured to death in secret dungeons, the Gaddafi clan pampered themselves with the finest that oil money could buy.
