London Under Attack follows several people who were directly affected by the bombings in London on July 7th, 2005, and gauges some of the reactions in the areas near the attacks, the populations of which have significant Muslim communities.
Journalist Peter Taylor was in the middle of a year-long investigation of Al-Qaeda when the bombers struck. So, taking the London subways attacks of 2005 as a starting point, Taylor decided to look at the ways in which Al-Qaeda has evolved since 9/11, asking what lessons have been learned from previous bombings, and examining elements of the terrorist threat that is currently faced by UK and other countries, where it is so difficult to prevent bombings from happening or to catch perpetrators after the fact.
