A digital video using the artwork of the Korean Comfort Women to tell the story of one women taken as teenager from Korea to China and Nanjing by the Japanese government during World War II to serve in military “comfort stations.” In actuality, these were brothels established by the Japanese government to service Japanese soldiers.

Written, produced and directed by independent filmmaker, Verona Fonté, the film is visually stunning, as it uses the expressive artwork created by former Korean military comfort women to convey the intensity of emotion these women experienced. Both the beauty and the short length of this film enable the viewer to take in this story of a darker moment in history.
