Pinky, an AIDS outreach worker is flamboyant and loud, letting everyone know she is HIV positive. Her daughter Ntombi is uncomfortable with her mother's aggressive need to disclose her HIV status and would rather keep it quiet to avoid the social stigma. But her mother's courageous and touching refusal to be quiet or passive in the face of AIDS, sets them both apart.
