Rich and Poor - Inequality in America
A special night of programming that explores the widening gulf between the haves and have-nots in the US, and what policies are driving the growing divide.

Moyers on Inequality in America (2 hours)
In this stirring speech by Bill Moyers, the veteran journalist calls for people to rise up and demand equality.  Not equal incomes—but for a decent and fair society in which money is not the sole determinant of status or comfort.  Speaking at a 2004 conference sponsored by Inequality.org, Bill Moyers examines the challenges to democracy when wealth, power, and income are in the hands of the few.

Further exploring these issues, Host Wendy Hanamura interviews Air America radio host, Thom Hartmann, author of the new book, Screwed: The Undeclared War Against the Middle Class

Part of this story is the disappearing factory job in America. Link TV traces this story around the globe, right into the sweatshops of Bangladesh and China, in The Outsourcing Report:  Sweatshop Warriors.  We examine how the low wage workers around the world are being exploited, and talk to political satirist, Will Durst, who hosts The Outsourcing Report.
