Clean Fresh Water Comes to the High Mountain Village of Nepal
The women of Serachaur Village in western Nepal were used to spending their days collecting clean water for their families. The village's only water tap was several hundred kilometers away and shared by the village's hundred and fifty-two households. But now, with the help of funds from the World Bank, 27 new water taps have been installed all within a short walking distance as part of a project fully managed by the villagers themselves.
