World Music: Cankisou, "Borrega"
(Czech Republic) In the past we have highlighted the Czech band Dva, whose specialty is singing in faux languages that are patterned after existing ones. Now here comes Cankisou, a well established big band (we've played their videos "Anay Yo" and "Sham Sut" on the channel), also from Czech Republic, and they sing in a language that is entirely their own creation. It must have been fun for the animator to realize that there was no lyric to limit his creativity. And so we get a pure flight of fancy; a bucolic interlude of a shepherd seduced by rugby, and whose mania gets temporarily transferred to his flock.
