(Indonesia) DEBU is a 19 member ensemble - some are Indonesian, and some are family members from the USA. But all of them would say that they are one big family, and the music they create is inspired by the Sufi tenets of Love and Godliness. Relocating first to Sumatra, the members eventually moved to Jakarta to pursue their own music making. They are now a popular musical presence there. This video is a sincerely sweet (if spacey) paean to the power of Love. And while jaded Western audiences might find it retro, in Indonesia those visual effects are considered quite cutting edge!
