Some might point to the presence of a Technical University there to explain the high level of computer generated dance/pop music bands there. Whatever the explanation, Kinky is a difficult band to categorize, even while it remains stubbornly Mexican. In "Soun Tha Mi Primer Amor" there's a smattering of Banda, and a dollop of guitarron. It's a fable, both visually and lyrically, one that warns us not to give out our flowers - or our love - indiscriminately.
