(South Africa) Shaluza Max is a veteran of the South African music scene. He was raised in Durban township, and was singing in classical choirs by the age of fourteen. He has tenured in some of South Africa's finest jazz and gospel aggregates and can be heard on the animated version of "The Lion King." This video and song are from his debut solo CD, "Kusile" (the track was licensed to Telarc) on the Sheer Sound label.
