(Cuba/Spain) Natives of Spain have been reaching out lately and experimenting with the music of the Spanish Diaspora. So it is with Diego "El Cigala" a young flamenco singer and Bebo Valdes, an 85 year old Cuban pianist and arranger. In "Corazon Loco" Cigala is controlled and commanding, only letting his vocals explode towards the very end of the song, and then bringing it back to the perfect denouement. Bebo keeps the flow going with easy arpeggiations and the relaxed touch of a master.
