Greek Workers on Strike; Deadly Avalanche in Afghanistan

(Al Jazeera English News Headlines: February 10, 2010) More than 160 people died in a series of avalanches in Afghanistan; many were rescued alive. Thousands of Greek workers went on strike, protesting emergency economic measures due to Greece's enormous debt. In Iran, a leading conservative politician has called on the opposition to join in the Islamic Revolution anniversary celebrations. Also, nine countries are meeting in Finland to discuss the pollution in the Baltic Sea.
