(Senegal) Coming from an impoverished neighborhood in Dakar, the members of Gokh-bi ("neighborhood") have translated rap music from a critique of discontent into their own soulful form, blending Sengalese melodies with a positive message. The song itself is about how music has the power to transform and better people. It is also affirms the responsibility of the band to sing about truth and justice.
