World Music: Zuco 103, "Na Mangueira"
(Brazil/Netherlands) At the heart of Zuco 103's sound is the voice of Lilian Vieira. A native of Brazil, it was not until she was studying classical singing in the Netherlands that she discovered the strength of her musical heritage. "Na Mangueira" could easily be a competition entry, sung by one of the samba schools during Carnival, and the video depicts a family getting gussied up and ready to dance their feet off in the streets - and there's even a Samba lesson included!
