Implementing Don't Ask Don't Tell Doesn't Work

John Forrett discusses the actual implementation of the Don't Ask Don't Tell policy, which he asserts leads to physical abuse, sexual harassment, and other unfortunate circumstances, regardless of the actual sexual orientation of the accused. However, Forrett says that ninety percent of gay and lesbian soldiers are 'out' to their unit without issue. Laura Slattery of Knights Out believes higher ranking officials are out of touch with the younger soldiers, who may be ready for change.
