(Spain) As her name proclaims, she is a star, and the camera loves her. The daughter of Enrique Morente, the greatest of the non-Gypsy Flamenco singers, she has absorbed the traditions of that demanding genre, and now expresses it with a voice that has color, depth and precision. Spanish director Fernando Trueba ("Calle 54") is enough of a fan to have contributed his talents to this video, and he has done marvelously well, capturing the color and charisma of this performance. The track gets its title from the Moorish dance of the same name.
