Mideast Talks Rejected by Palestinian Factions

(Al Jazeera English News Headlines: September 3, 2010) A bomb targeting a rally of 2,000 Shia muslims in Quetta, Pakistan, has killed more than 50 people. This is one of three attacks country-wide in just 24 hours. Several armed Palestinian factions have vowed to join forces in launching attacks against Israel. A Hamas spokesman says 13 groups including themselves are rejecting a pledge by Palestinian and Israeli leaders to establish a framework for peace. Turkey's Prime Minister, Recep Tayyip Erdogan, is in the Kurdish heartland seeking support for proposed constitutional reforms. The changes, in principle, promise more rights to minority Kurds, but the government's campaign is meeting a lot of resistance.
