Kabul Bank Worries

(Al Jazeera English News Headlines: September 7, 2010) The Afghan government has frozen the assets for shareholders and borrowers at the troubled Kabul Bank. And also in Afghanistan, voters are preparing for parliamentary elections next week. The Taliban has vowed to interfere with the elections by intimidating voters. Half a million women who are victims of the recent floods in Pakistan are pregnant, and are expected to give birth in the next six months. The UN says it needs more financial support for these expectant mothers to make sure they deliver safely.
