Hamas Warns Palestinian Authority Over Arrests

(Al Jazeera English News Headlines: September 8, 2010) After the escalation in arrests of Hamas members by the Palestinian Authority, Hamas's military wing issued a warning to the Authority to stop the detentions or risk becoming a new Hamas target. Iran says it has suspended the death sentence of a woman due to be stoned to death for adultery. An internal report by BP claims that multiple companies and work teams are responsible for the accidental oil spill in the Gulf of Mexico. The Taliban revealed that it will launch suicide attacks during next week's parliamentary elections in Afghanistan. The UN has admitted its peacekeepers failed to prevent systematic rapes of women in the Democratic Republic of Congo.
