Rescue of Chilean Miners Now Underway

(Al Jazeera English News Headlines: October 13, 2010) More than half of the 33 Chilean miners trapped underground since August have now been rescued. "I've was with God and I was with the devil. They were fighting over me," rescued miner Mario Sepúlveda said. "God won." Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad's first trip to Lebanon -- where he was met with cheering crowds -- provoked criticism from the U.S. and Israel. After a ruling declaring the American military's "Don't Ask, Don't Tell" policy unconstitutional, a U.S. federal court has ordered a halt in enforcement of the law, which has been in place for 17 years. The owners of the Liverpool Football Club have lost a court battle to keep control of the Club.
