Massive Budget Cuts in the UK

(Al Jazeera English News Headlines: October 20, 2010) The UK has made the biggest cuts to government spending in decades, including cuts of about 25% for government departments and half a million job losses. Meanwhile, French unions are continuing their protests of austerity plans for a seventh day. In Iran, two American men accused of spying will go on trial in November. And, Afghanistan's electoral commission has cancelled 1.3 million votes cast during last months' parliamentary election. This follows complaints of fraud during the poll.
