Thousands Return to South Sudan

(Al Jazeera English Headlines: January 7, 2011) The UN says 2,000 people a day are filing into south Sudan ahead of Sunday's vote on secession. In southern Yemen, Al-Qaeda fighters have killed 10 soldiers and wounded two in an attack on a military convoy. Pakistan's MQM party is set to rejoin the ruling coalition after the government reversed a recent fuel price increase. And the head of world soccer's governing body says he "expects" the 2022 World Cup in Qatar will be played in January.
