Hosni Mubarak 'Fed Up'
(Al Jazeera English Headlines: February 3, 2011) Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak has admitted he is fed up after 30 years in power and that he's ready to leave, but he fears that if he steps down now Egypt will sink into chaos. Clashes on the streets have continued between pro-Democracy supporters and those backing the President. At least 13 people have died and at least 1200 injured in recent violence. Efforts are being made to silence the media with dozens of journalists beaten and arrested, their equipment confiscated. Egypt's newly appointed Vice President asked protesters to stop demonstrating because all their demands have been met. Inspired by events in Tunisia and now Egypt, more than 20,000 protesters have also gathered in Yemen calling for President Ali Abdullah Saleh to step down.
