Bio:
Alejandro is a budding filmmaker currently based in Austin, Texas. Recently completing his Associates Degree in Film and Television production from Austin Community College, Alejandro is working at a local film house known for its avant garde movie selections. Born and raised in San Antonio, Alejandro was naturally drawn to the art of filmmaking from an early age. Some of his favorite directors include Carlos Reygadas, Werner Herzog, lucrecia Martel, Tony Gatlif and many more. This film is important to Alejandro because it allows him to not only tell a compelling story of determination and empowerment, but it challenged his creative abilities despite formidable geographical and financial limitations. Alejandro states: �This has been a lesson for me not only in the art of film making but, also in the struggle of humanity as it reveals itself throughout the world.� And adds: �I am honored to have my work considered in this contest but I feel I have already won the prize by merely observing and sharing the common experiences captured in so many wonderful films� Contact me at alejandro.estrada86@gmail.com
