Film Description

Josef Kotlaba is a micro hydropower operator in Horažďovice, Czech Republic. Inspired by his ancestor’s experience with waterwheels and his mathematic and hydraulic knowledge, he designed an affordable water turbine, which generates enough electricity for one large house. Today, in an environment of rising energy prices, Kotlaba is returning to the places where water works existed before the times of socialism and trying to restore them.
