Film Description

In the developing world’s rush to modernize, we have hurriedly adopted systems of leadership that are disconnected from the very societies they are trying to govern. This is especially true at the grass roots level, where Traditional Healers have a great influence on how societies perceive new ideas and react to change. Our Traditional healers are Leaders in their own right, and can make a big difference in how effective global messages are accepted and acted upon. The Witchdoctor is a comical skit that seeks to affirm the role of the traditional healer and should reassure all those in the fight against H.I.V and AIDS that the message has indeed reached the grass roots level. It is our hope that ALL leaders, be they presidents or witchdoctors find ways to work together towards achieving the MDG’s.
