Link's programming consists of outstanding investigative documentaries, news reports from around the world, foreign feature films and the best of world music. We connect American viewers with people at the heart of breaking events, organizations in the forefront of social change and the cultures of an increasingly global community.
We are looking for committed interns who are interested in working with us in a variety of departments, including Viewer Relations, Development, Research, Web Editing and Production, and Office Administration. There may also be opportunities to do work in Publicity, Broadcast, and Production. The internship will require students to move between departments to fulfill diverse roles and responsibilities over the course of the semester. The work will vary each semester depending on department needs as well as intern’s skills and interests.
Interested applicants should have a good working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel and be adept at Internet research. We are looking for an individual who is organized and efficient with a strong attention to detail. Excellent written and communication skills are a must.
Additional requirements -- For Publicity work blogging experience is a plus. For production or post-production, applicants should have at least one semester in video production and a working knowledge of Final Cut Pro.
Internship start date: We are currently accepting applications for those who can guarantee 10+ hours a week.
What To Expect: Students will receive invaluable hands-on experience with access to a range of professionals in the field. Interns will come away with a comprehensive understanding of how a non-profit media organization is structured.
