David Sutasurya serves as Executive Director of YPBB (Yayasan Pengembangan Biosains dan Bioteknologi), an Indonesian organization that has been implementing a Zero Waste Campaign and similar projects since 2005. With more than 20 years of experience in sustainable development, Sutasurya has a special interest in motivating people toward sustainable lifestyles. He helps create analytical tools to understand current models and searches for new paradigms that are more sustainable. Since 2009, he has been the leading facilitator for supporting the government of Indonesia's Papua province in drafting the Papua Sustainable Development Blueprint, Papua Vision 2100, a Spatial Plan, and an Economic Plan.
