Brazil to send aid to Venezuelan border
Venezuela has plunged into a major political crisis amid a growing row over President Nicolas Maduro's future as the country's leader. The Venezuelan military has blocked U.S. and Brazilian humanitarian aid from entering through Venezuelan borders.
Thailand frees refugee
Thailand has freed refugee Bahraini soccer player Hakeem al-Araibi after Bahrain drops extradition request, bringing to an end a case that has attracted international attention. Al-Araibi, who fled Bahrain in 2014 and received refugee status in Australia, was arrested in November last year at Bangkok's Suvarnabhumi Airport while on a honeymoon trip.
