This House Spreads Happiness

Seoul is known a "the republic of the apartment," with more than 70 percent of residents living in buildings that are shaped like a box. In addition to altering the family dynamic, this lifestyle is also conducive to conflict and complaints among apartment residents.

This video shows how three families broke out of the traditional housing mold by building their dream house together, which they nicknamed "the house that spreads happiness." The families share resources and responsibilities regularly and have fostered a sense of community among neighbors.

Video produced by KBS in Korea.
